Helen Harper trained at the Bird College of Performing Arts. She made her professional debut appearing in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. She subsequently toured in West Side Story, playing Graziella, before returning to the West End to play Tantomile in the final company of Cats at the New London Theatre. After appearing in Anything Goes and La Traviata at Grange Park Opera, Helen toured in Calamity Jane, playing the role of Susan, before returning to the West End in Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre. She subsequently appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium, Sinatra also at the Palladium, and is currently performing in Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre.
